Seven Seeds - Carlton
Seven Seeds – Carlton
Well this was definitely a first for me. As you can see from the photo the Hot Chocolate was served in a brown mug on a brown saucer with fantastic froth decorations along with a solid stick of Dark Chocolate. I’m not entirely sure was it was for but nevertheless a creative idea. Despite looking fantastic the froth was fairly bland with a very subtle dark taste probably from the stick. The choc was not stirred at the bottom and wasn’t served hot enough to entirely melt the stick. The mixture was a let down; it was far too watery and didn’t have enough punch. So I decided to break the stick in half and melt it to try and resurrect it. But still no good because it wasn’t hot enough it all just sank to the bottom so the last bit was very strong and thick. In fact the shot was so huge that I had to eat it with my teaspoon. And also because of the temperature and small serving size you finish it quickly.
Summary: This place looks great, smells great and makes brilliant coffee, but as far as Hot Chocolates go I have 4 words… “Looks can be deceiving”.
