Starbucks

Starbucks – There are 16635 locations worldwide so you shouldn’t really have any trouble finding one, but if you do want to know I had mine in the CBD of Melbourne.

Signature hot chocolate

Well this should be an interesting review, tasting the hot chocolate of the world’s largest café franchise.

So starting off you get the option of marshmallows and cream, I said yes to both. Even if you’re having there, it is still served in the world famous cardboard cup. You will open it up to see a very unenticing “shlop” of cream, froth and 2 marshmallows. When tasting the froth it’s a strange half cold half warm, sweet chocolate flavour that I didn’t really like.

In the mixture the chocolate is stirred and has a fantastic rich dark flavour. It’s a very thin consistency yet manages not to be watery. The temperature is goog but could be hotter and it’s consistent but with a medium choc shot, which is okay.

Summary: Knowing the mass marketing of places like this, I didn’t expect it to be amazingly good, but I was mildly surprised at the quality. Better than I thought it was going to be, but still with the obvious flaws due to being in the large commercial business.
